This Weeks Topic 1:This week we discussed The HIPPA LAW and how it connects with cybersecurity. The HIPAA Security Rule established security standards for protecting electronic health information as an extension of the protections already contained in the previously adopted Privacy Rule.

HIPPA dealing with Cyber Security which supposed to help protect the healthcare information system like personal records, but not realizing that by the increasingly use of telemedicine and purchasing medical devices that are increasingly Internet connected, all of which introduce additional cyber risk not covered by HIPAA. It very important that senior executives are aware of the cyber risks they are assuming and to be confident that these risks can be managed.

Different demands in Organizations are now being challenged to address the cyber security aware shortages leaving the networks unprotected. There will be about 1 to 2 million unfilled Cyber Security world wide by 2019 (according to "Hacking the Skills Shortage"). The lack of security talent is both dangerous and expensive, especially as businesses face growing threats from external internet cyber attacks. Most organizations don't know how to detect  attacks that leverage digital channels such as social media and mobile. So That's why its very Important we establish some form of aware to all organization about the importance of Cyber Security.
